Xác định ứng dụng của bạn cho Google
Ứng dụng của bạn cần phải tự nhận dạng mỗi khi gửi yêu cầu đến Google Civic Information API, bằng cách thêm khoá API với mỗi của bạn.
Nhận và sử dụng khoá API
Cách lấy khoá API:

Tạo bất cứ thông tin đăng nhập nào phù hợp với dự án của bạn:

OAuth 2.0: Bất cứ khi nào ứng dụng của bạn yêu cầu người dùng riêng tư thì ứng dụng phải gửi mã thông báo OAuth 2.0 cùng với yêu cầu. Thông tin trước tiên sẽ gửi ID ứng dụng khách và có thể là mật khẩu ứng dụng khách để lấy mã thông báo. Bạn có thể tạo thông tin đăng nhập OAuth 2.0 cho web ứng dụng, tài khoản dịch vụ hoặc ứng dụng đã cài đặt.
Lưu ý: Vì API này không có bất kỳ phương thức nào yêu cầu uỷ quyền OAuth 2.0, bạn có thể chỉ cần lấy Khoá API (được mô tả) bên dưới. Tuy nhiên, nếu ứng dụng của bạn gọi các API khác yêu cầu người dùng uỷ quyền, thì bạn vẫn cần thông tin đăng nhập OAuth 2.0.

API này hỗ trợ một số loại quy định hạn chế đối với khoá API. Nếu khoá API mà bạn chưa có, hãy tạo khoá API trong Console bằng cách nhấp vào Tạo thông tin xác thực > Khoá API. Bạn có thể hạn chế khoá này trước khi dùng trong phiên bản phát hành công khai bằng cách nhấp vào Hạn chế khoá rồi chọn một trong Quy định hạn chế.

Để bảo mật khoá API, hãy làm theo các phương pháp hay nhất về một cách an toàn bằng cách sử dụng khoá API.
Sau khi bạn có khoá API, ứng dụng của bạn có thể thêm tham số truy vấn
key=yourAPIKey vào tất cả URL yêu cầu.
Khoá API này an toàn khi nhúng trong URL; nó không cần bất kỳ phương thức mã hoá nào.
Các hạn chế đối với khoá API
Theo mặc định, khoá API của bạn không bị hạn chế và sẽ không an toàn nếu ai cũng có thể đọc khoá này (ví dụ: nếu được đặt trong một trình duyệt) hoặc truy cập vào thiết bị mà khoá được đặt trên đó. Chúng tôi khuyên bạn nên đặt hạn chế đối với khoá API này để ngăn chặn việc sử dụng trái phép.

Loại hạn chế bạn chọn sẽ phụ thuộc vào nhu cầu đăng ký của bạn:
- Các ứng dụng web tương tác trực tiếp với API (tức là không thông qua bất kỳ phần phụ trợ hay phần mềm trung gian nào) đều nên thêm quy tắc hạn chế liên kết giới thiệu HTTP. Tuy nhiên, hãy lưu ý rằng các ứng dụng đó sẽ để lộ khoá API một cách công khai; hãy ưu tiên sử dụng lược đồ xác thực tài khoản dịch vụ.
- Các ứng dụng phụ trợ không thể hỗ trợ tài khoản dịch vụ (ví dụ: các thiết bị được nhúng không có ngôn ngữ được hỗ trợ bằng thư viện ứng dụng) nên thêm giới hạn địa chỉ IP để bảo vệ dựa trên hoạt động sử dụng của các ứng dụng tại các địa chỉ IP khác nhau.
- Ứng dụng Android nên thêm một quy tắc hạn chế đối với ứng dụng Android và thêm tên gói và dấu vân tay chứng chỉ ký SHA-1.
- Ứng dụng iOS phải thêm quy tắc hạn chế đối với ứng dụng iOS và thêm bất kỳ gói iOS nào để hạn chế lệnh gọi API đến các gói iOS này.
Đối với thử nghiệm, bạn có thể không muốn đặt ra bất kỳ hạn chế nào. Tuy nhiên, việc này bạn nên thêm một quy tắc hạn chế cho khoá này hoặc xoá khoá này một lần bạn triển khai ứng dụng vào giai đoạn phát hành chính thức.
