O Cloud Device Description (CDD) é um conceito geral que encapsula vários aspectos das propriedades e funcionalidades de um dispositivo na nuvem. O CDD 1.0 (a versão do CDD compatível com o GCP 2.0) organiza esses conceitos em cinco formatos:
- A CDD descreve as funcionalidades do dispositivo.
- CJT (Cloud Job Ticket): descreve as opções escolhidas para um comando compatível com o dispositivo.
- O CDS (Estado do dispositivo do Cloud) descreve todo o estado semântico do dispositivo.
- O CJS (estado do Cloud Job) descreve o estado semântico das tarefas no dispositivo.
- As configurações locais são editáveis pelo usuário e não mudam com o uso normal do dispositivo.
Esses formatos são definidos nas seções a seguir usando a linguagem Protobuf do Google. Eles são comunicados ao servidor do Cloud Print como strings JSON serializadas a partir de protobufs, que é como os exemplos nesta página são apresentados.

Ingresso para o Cloud Job
Depois que um usuário faz uma seleção e configura os valores dos recursos do dispositivo para preparar um trabalho de impressão, um tíquete do Cloud Job, ou "tíquete", é construído para instruir a impressora ou outro dispositivo sobre como lidar com o trabalho. Esse tíquete é enviado do cliente de impressão (por exemplo, aplicativo de telefone celular) para o serviço de nuvem (por exemplo, GCP) e armazenado junto com os dados da tarefa. Como o CDD, o CJT é dividido em seções específicas para dispositivos. Por exemplo, há seções separadas de itens relacionados a impressoras e aqueles com scanners.

Estado do dispositivo na nuvem
Todo o estado do dispositivo é representado por uma mensagem do CloudDeviceState. Dispositivos de tipos diferentes utilizam seções diferentes desta mensagem. Dispositivos multifuncionais podem usar várias ou todas as seções definidas. Espera-se que mais seções sejam adicionadas no futuro, à medida que o Cloud Print expandir o conjunto de tipos de dispositivos compatíveis.

Observação: é recomendável omitir pontos do fim das mensagens do fornecedor sempre que possível para manter a consistência com as mensagens localizadas produzidas a partir dos dados semânticos de estado (por exemplo, "Tinta preta está vazia").
Exemplo de CDS
Aqui está um exemplo de CDS para a "impressora típica" do exemplo do CDD, caso ela tenha um cartucho de tinta vazio. Observe o seguinte:
- Os trabalhos estão pendentes, por isso o estado de dispositivo INTERROMPIDO.
- O servidor pressupõe que as unidades de dispositivo cujo estado não é mencionado no CDS (a bandeja de entrada e a capa frontal, neste caso) estão no estado OK, sem informações adicionais, como "level_percent" para relatar.
- O campo "cloud_connection_state" foi omitido. Ele será definido pelo servidor no CDS retornado pelas interfaces /printer e /search (se "semanticState" for solicitado como um campo extra).

Interpretação de diferenças de CDS
O parâmetro semantic_state_diff da interface /update é fornecido como uma mensagem normal do CloudDeviceState, conforme definido acima, mas é interpretado como uma "diferença" no CDS armazenado para a impressora, da maneira a seguir.
- Os campos omitidos na diferença não são alterados no CDS original.
- Os campos de mensagem aninhados dentro de PrinterStateSection e ScannerStateSection que são fornecidos com valores vazios (por exemplo,
"marker_state": {}
) são removidos. - Os campos de tipo primitivo ou de tipo enumerado e de mensagem aninhada fornecidos com valores não vazios são adicionados ou alterados.
- O campo "version" sempre pode ser omitido ao usar o parâmetro "semantic_state_diff". Quando ele é omitido e a impressora não tem o CDS definido anteriormente, o servidor do Cloud Print assume que a diferença fornecida está usando a versão mais recente e define o campo de versão de acordo.
Estado da IU do dispositivo do Cloud
O formato CDS não se aplica imediatamente à exibição significativa do estado do dispositivo para os usuários. Portanto, um formato de "estado da IU" está disponível para ser retornado solicitando "uiState" como um campo extra. A definição de protobuf do formato aparece abaixo.

Estado do job do Cloud
A parte independente do tipo de dispositivo do estado de um job em um dispositivo na nuvem é representada por uma mensagem do JobState. A enumeração de tipo define o conjunto básico de estados definido para o ciclo de vida genérico do job. Status do job legado
Os tipos de estado de job definidos acima substituem o enum de status de job legado usado nas interfaces /submit, /jobs e /control, mas o enum de status ainda é compatível para compatibilidade com versões anteriores. Os possíveis status de jobs legados são:- FILA: o job foi adicionado, e o download ainda não foi feito
- IN_PROGRESS: job transferido por download e adicionado à fila de impressoras nativas do cliente
- CONCLUÍDA: a tarefa foi impressa
- ERRO: a tarefa não pode ser impressa devido a um erro
- SUBMITTED: O trabalho foi enviado para um serviço de terceiros (usado apenas para impressoras FedEx).
- HELD: o job foi enviado, mas ainda precisa de uma ação do usuário antes de ser colocado na fila

Estado do job de nível superior
Um único dispositivo pode ter várias funções (por exemplo, impressão e digitalização), mas uma tarefa nesse dispositivo é realizada por apenas uma função. Portanto, há um formato de estado de job de nível superior para cada função de dispositivo compatível.
Estado do trabalho de impressão
O estado do trabalho de impressão (PJS) é armazenado no servidor e pode ser buscado por todos os clientes com acesso ao trabalho.

Diferença do estado do trabalho de impressão
