Sugerencias para el desafío de mapas fotorrealistas en 3D

The Photorealistic 3D Maps Challenge submission period will run from October 1 - November 20, 2024 with 8 winners being announced on December 13, 2024. Be sure to register and join the hackathon before November 20, 2024.

To stand out from the crowd and build something truly innovative, submissions should include elements that make the 3D experience more engaging for end users.

  1. Visualization (polygons, polylines, markers, 3D objects, etc.) really brings maps to life and leaves an impression through the simplicity and usability for a user.

  2. By taking Google Maps Platform APIs (Places API is a great one to use) we want to see if projects can be enhanced with AI to take capabilities of the 3D maps experience to the next level.

  3. Think of including gaming elements with Geospatial Creator for Unity that make your project more interactive.

You'll need to supply a short write up of your project, how it is using Google Maps Platform Photorealistic 3D Maps and your inspiration for your build. Include links to your GitHub project source code and instructions, and a demo video of the project functioning as described.

Need help? That's what community is for. You can find developers willing to help out in our Discord channel and find code samples in our documentation.

¡GRACIAS! Resultados de los comentarios sobre el SDK de Swift para iOS

Last month, we invited the Maps Platform Innovator community to share feedback on the Places Swift SDK for iOS Preview. We're grateful for the valuable insights you shared.

Key findings include positive responses to the APIs in GooglePlacesSwift, indicating a better overall performance than their Objective-C counterparts and improved support for Swift Concurrency and Protocol features. We did receive feedback conveying confusion regarding cloud console changes and the lack of SwiftUI support.

To address these points and improve the product for the future, we're committed to updating our documentation with clearer migration instructions and plan to support SwiftUI in future UI components.

Thank you again for taking the time to review this product. If you have further feedback or suggestions, feel free to submit them through the survey or our Issue Tracker.
