Poly is an online library where people can browse, share, and remix 3D assets. An asset is a 3D model or scene created using Tilt Brush, Blocks, or any 3D program that produces a file that can be uploaded to Poly. Many assets are licensed under the CC BY license, which means developers can use them in their apps, free of charge, as long as the creator is given credit. There are thousands of assets available for use at

APIs and tools

Poly provides the following APIs and tools for developers:

  • Poly API: a RESTful API that lets you search, download, and (for whitelisted accounts) upload Poly assets.

  • Poly Toolkits: For Unity and Unreal developers, the Toolkit for Unity and Toolkit for Unreal provide simplified, platform-specific wrappers for the Poly API. The Toolkit for Unity also includes a UI for downloading and importing Poly assets into your project.

  • Poly Plugins for 3rd Party Applications: These plugins, available for Blender, Cinema 4D, Maya, and 3ds Max let you upload assets directly to your Poly account without switching applications.

Most assets on Poly are remixable and, thus, published under CC BY license. You are free to copy, modify, and use remixable assets for any purpose, as long as you give appropriate credit to the licensor.

To give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use. For more information, see Best practices for attribution.
