תקופת הניסיון המקורית של קובצי cookie עם מצב עצמאי (CHIPS) הורחבה
גרסת המקור לניסיון תהיה זמינה עכשיו ב-Chrome 106 ואילך עד 25 באוקטובר 2022.
CHIPS היא הצעה לארגז חול לפרטיות, עם מנגנון הסכמה לחלוקה של קובצי cookie של צד שלישי לפי אתר ברמה העליונה באמצעות מאפיין חדש של קובץ cookie, Partitioned.
הניסוי התחיל ב-Chrome בגרסה 100 ב-29 במרץ 2022 ומתוכנן לפעול עד 14 ביוני 2022.
החל מגרסה 103, Chrome יכלול תכנון חלופי לניסיון של גרסת CHIPS, שמיועדת לקובצי cookie של HTTP, במטרה להפעיל מנגנון הסכמה שיקלו על הפריסה של ארגונים גדולים.
בעיצוב החדש, לא יהיה צורך לשלוח את הכותרת Accept-CH: Sec-CH-Partitioned-Cookies כדי להירשם לגרסת המקור לניסיון. צריך לשלוח לאתרים את הכותרת Origin-Trial עם אסימון המקור לניסיון של CHIPS רק כשהם שולחים תשובות שכוללות את הכותרת Set-Cookie עם המאפיין Partitioned.
