يضيف نظام "إثبات ملكية الموقع الإلكتروني" المالكين أو يزيلهم حسب الحاجة لمطابقة قائمة المالكين الواردة في المرجع الذي تم تعديله. لا يتم إجراء أي تغييرات إذا كانت قائمة المالكين المعدّلة مطابقة لقائمة المالكين الحالية.
قبل إزالة مالك من القائمة، تأكَّد من إزالة جميع الرموز المميّزة لإثبات الملكية المرتبطة بذلك المالك. بخلاف ذلك، يؤدي استدعاء update إلى ظهور خطأ HTTP 400 Bad Request.
ملاحظة: لا يمكنك استخدام هذه الطريقة لإلغاء إثبات ملكية المستخدم الذي تمت مصادقته لموقع إلكتروني. يمكنك استخدام الطريقة delete بدلاً من ذلك.
