Parfois, un lien vers la recherche d'un auteur ou d'un titre dans Google Recherche de Livres ne suffit pas. Vous pouvez, par exemple, ajouter un lien vers un titre, ou même une édition spécifique d'un livre. Pour vous aider, Google Livres fournit des formats d'URL qui vous permettent de créer un lien vers un livre à partir de son numéro ISBN (International Standard Book Number), de son numéro LCCN (Library of Congress Control Number) ou de son numéro d'enregistrement OCLC (Online Computer Library Center). La plupart des livres publiés aujourd'hui possèdent un numéro ISBN, qui est généralement visible sur la page "À propos du livre". Toutefois, l'utilisation d'un enregistrement LCCN ou OCLC est généralement nécessaire pour créer des liens vers des ouvrages plus anciens.
Vous pouvez mettre en forme les liens de manière à créer un lien vers la page "À propos de ce livre", la couverture, la page de titre, les droits d'auteur, la table des matières ou la quatrième de couverture d'un livre.
Exemples
Par exemple, vous souhaitez peut-être créer un lien vers le livre Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions d'Edwin Abbot. Alors que le livre a été publié à l'origine en 1884, l'édition vers laquelle vous souhaitez créer un lien a été imprimée en 1984 et possède l'ISBN 0451522907.
