בתחום הבריאות, תוכנית טיפול מתעדת את הפעילויות שקבוצה של ספקי שירותי בריאות צריכה לבצע עבור חולה מסוים, ומספקת הנחיות לגביהן. לתוכניות טיפול יש תפקיד מרכזי במתן טיפול משולב שמתמקד בחולה.
באמצעות ספריית תהליכי העבודה, מפתחים יכולים להשתמש ב-FHIR וב-Clinical Quality Language (CQL) במכשיר כדי ליצור אפליקציות שתומכות בתהליכי עבודה, שיעזרו להם להנחות את מתן הטיפול וליצור ניתוח נתונים מבוסס-נייד.
