Outline به کاربران کمک می‌کند تا محدودیت‌های دسترسی به اینترنت باز را دور بزنند. این‌ها برخی‌از
مفاهیم کلیدی برای درک کردن نحوه کار آن است:
رسانندگان خدمات و کاربران نهایی
سیستم Outline دو نقش اصلی دارد: رسانندگان خدمات که سرورها را
مدیریت می‌کنند و کاربران نهایی که ازطریق آن سرورها به اینترنت دسترسی پیدا می‌کنند.
- رسانندگان خدمات سرویس‌های Outline را می‌سازند، کلیدهای دسترسی تولید می‌کنند،
و کلیدها را بین کاربران نهایی توزیع می‌کنند. یک راه برای استفاده از
برنامه مدیر Outline.
- کاربران نهایی برنامه کارخواه Outline را نصب می‌کنند، آن را در
کلید دسترسی‌ای که دریافت کرده‌اند جای‌گذاری می‌کنند، و به تونل امنی متصل می‌شوند.
کلیدهای دسترسی
کلیدهای دسترسی عبارت است از اطلاعات اعتباری‌ای که به کاربران اجازه می‌دهد به
سرور Outline متصل شوند. این کلیدها شامل اطلاعات لازم برای «کارخواه Outline» است تا
اتصال ایمنی را مستقر کند. دو نوع کلید دسترسی ثابت و پویا وجود دارد:

کلیدهای دسترسی پویا به رساننده خدمات اجازه می‌دهد تا
