Search using past results while driving

  • When driving, users can access past search results or keywords via the Search template for navigation, minimizing keyboard interaction.

  • The Search template, integrated within the Map + Content template, allows users to select locations or keywords for initiating navigation.

  • Android Auto's Search template streamlines navigation for drivers by offering a list of past results, reducing manual input.

  • Upon selection, navigation seamlessly transitions to the Navigation template, guiding users to their chosen destination.

When users are driving, they might be restricted from using the keyboard. However, you can still present past search results (locations) or keywords (such as "coffee") on the Search template.

Users can then select the result to proceed toward navigation.
