New basemap styling is coming soon to Google Maps Platform. This update to map styling includes a new default color palette, modernized pins, and improvements to map experiences and usability. The Map Tiles API is now available in Preview. The Map Tiles API allows you to build immersive, customized map visualizations using high-resolution Photorealistic 3D Tiles, 2D Tiles, and Street View Tiles.
