Jika tidak, klien HARUS memberikan versi yang sebelumnya diterima dari server. Klien TIDAK BOLEH memanipulasi byte tersebut. Yang baru di V5: di V4 API, ini disebut states; sekarang diganti namanya menjadi version agar lebih jelas. String berenkode base64.
