הישות BroadcastEvent היא schema.org ייצוג של משבצת זמן לתוכניות בערוץ טלוויזיה או באינטרנט. הוא מתעד את לוח השידורים של תוכנית (Movie, TVSeries, או TVEpisode או SportsEvent) ופרטים נוספים כמו שעת ההתחלה והסיום, והערוץ שבו התוכן משודר (אם רלוונטי). לדוגמה, הוא עשוי לייצג את משבצת הזמן 18:00 עד 21:00 ביום חמישי בערוץ הטלוויזיה 'סרטים באורך 24 שעות בחינם' כאשר משודר הסרט 'X-Men'.

תיאור תוכן

בנוסף לתיעוד התזמון של האירוע והערוץ שבו האירוע ישודר, הישות BroadcastEvent מתייחסת גם לישות TVSeries, TVEpisode, Movie או SportsEvent ברמה העליונה עם מטא-נתונים מפורטים (באמצעות הנכס workPerformed או broadcastOfEvent). Google עשויה להשתמש בפרטים של הישויות האלה כדי לשפר את חוויית המשתמש. לדוגמה, Google עשויה להשתמש בimage או בcontentRatings שסופקו בישויות האלה כדי להעשיר את הכרטיסייה Google TV Live.
