If you instead want to advertise your vehicles on Google, see [Vehicle Ads](https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/11189169).\n\nMillions of people search for vehicles on Google every day. You can surface your\nvehicle inventory to these potential customers directly on Google.\n\nVehicle listings appear on Google Search when buyers search for vehicles for sale\nnearby.\n\nDecide how to provide inventory data to Google\n----------------------------------------------\n\nThere are two methods for car dealerships to provide their car inventory data to\nGoogle. One is through feed files uploaded to the vehicle listings partner\nportal, which is the main focus of this document, and the other is through\n[structured data markup on their websites](/search/docs/appearance/structured-data/vehicle-listing).\nBoth methods enable car inventory data to be displayed on Google surfaces.\n\nHere are some characteristics of the two methods:\n\n### Structured Data Markup:\n\n- It's easier to implement and maintain structured data markup on websites\n- It could take longer for Google to detect changes on websites\n- No 1:1 support\n\nLearn how to [add vehicle listing structured data](/search/docs/appearance/structured-data/vehicle-listing).\n\n### Feed File Uploads:\n\n- It may require system development to create and maintain feed files\n- All inventory data in feed files is recognized by Google\n- 1:1 support is available to address any issues with feed uploads at the vehicle listings partner portal\n- Feeds support more detailed properties for vehicle inventory\n\nFeed files is a suitable option if you are comfortable with creating and\nmaintaining them technically. Structured web markup is a suitable option\nif you prioritize ease of implementation. If you choose to use both methods,\nmake sure the data is consistent between feeds and markup. If there are any\ndiscrepancies, the feed data will override the conflicting markup data\n\nBefore you begin\n----------------\n\nYou need a Google Account to sign up for vehicle listings. All Gmail accounts\nare also Google Accounts, or you can link an existing email address to a Google\nAccount. If you don't have a Google Account, follow the instructions at\n[Create your Google Account](https://accounts.google.com/signup/v2/webcreateaccount?flowName=GlifWebSignIn&flowEntry=SignUp).\n\nIf you use a Google Workspace (GSuite) account, contact your\n[domain admin](https://support.google.com/a/answer/6208960?ctx=gsidentifer) to\nmake sure the [Partner Dash](https://support.google.com/a/answer/181865#turn_on)\nservice is enabled for all users within your Google Workspace domain. For more\ndetails, see [Turn a service on or off for Google Workspace\nusers](https://support.google.com/a/answer/182442).\n\nWhen you're ready, go to the vehicle listing partner portal and sign in with\nyour Google Account.\n\n[Go to vehicle listings partner portal](https://carcenter.webapps.google.com/signup/)\n\nSet up vehicle listings\n-----------------------\n\nAfter you have access to the vehicle listings partner portal, you can begin to\nshare your data with Google. Finish the steps on this page to start showing\nvehicles for sale on Google.\n| **Note:** You don't need to complete the onboarding process all at once. Return to the **Onboarding** page and pick up where you left off at a time that suits you.\n\n### Prepare and upload your feed\n\nA feed is a file that contains a list of vehicles that you want to show on\nGoogle. We support feeds in the\n[CSV](https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc4180) format. To\nformat your inventory information for the vehicle listings service, use the\n[feed specification](/vehicle-listings/reference/feed-specification) and refer\nto our\n[example feed](/vehicle-listings/integration-process/feed-setup#example-feed).\nBe sure to include the following details so that we can accurately match\nvehicles with car dealerships on Google:\n\n- Store code (required)\n - For details, see [Dealership matching](/vehicle-listings/integration-process/dealer-matching).\n- Dealership name and postal address (required)\n- Google Place ID, Google Maps URL, or both (strongly recommended)\n - These uniquely identify the dealership's Business Profile on Google and avoid any ambiguity when we match the name and postal address.\n\n**Recommendation:** Start with a few test vehicles and use the\n[validation tool](https://www.google.com/local/cars/tools/feed-validation) to\nquickly validate your CSV file's feed format. You can later scale to include all\nof your inventory on Google.\n| **Note:** You can manage all your dealerships from one partner portal account. If you have data for multiple dealerships, include it all in your feed file; it is partitioned by dealership in the partner portal.\n\n[Learn how to set up your feed](/vehicle-listings/integration-process/feed-setup).\n\n### Review your inventory\n\nAfter you submit the inventory feed, you can review the results of processing.\nThe **Feed** page on the partner portal shows the status of each feed upload.\nThis only checks for basic file and data issues. To see all issues, go to the\n**Diagnostics** page.\n\nAfter a feed successfully uploads, the inventory takes a few hours to fully\nprocess. When processing completes, a status is assigned to the dealerships and\nvehicles, which is shown on the **Diagnostics** page. The status lets you know\nwhether your content is eligible to appear on Google. You can review the number\nof dealerships and vehicles found in your feed, as well as see a list of\ndetected issues to understand how many vehicles in your feed these issues\naffect. As you review the status of your feed, keep the following in mind:\n\n- If your feed has error issues, then your vehicles won't appear on Google. Resolve all errors as soon as possible so that your vehicles become eligible to appear in results again.\n- Other types of issues can cause vehicles to show up less frequently. To prevent future errors, resolve any issues that arise.\n\n### Launch the integration\n\nWhen you're ready to show your vehicles on Google, navigate to the **Account**\npage and enable the vehicle listings integration.\n\nMake sure that you follow the vehicle listings guidelines:\n\n- Only upload vehicles that are available for sale.\n- Adhere to the relevant [policies and\n restrictions](/vehicle-listings/reference/policy):\n - Only include vehicles with a valid [Vehicle Identification Number](/vehicle-listings/reference/feed-specification#vin).\n - If vehicles aren't located at the dealership, mark the vehicles as `IN_TRANSIT` or `SHIP_TO_STORE`.\n - Upload high-quality images without watermarks, promotional content, or other branding information.\n- Make sure that the data meets all of the requirements in the [feed specification](/vehicle-listings/reference/feed-specification).\n\n| **Note:** After you upload a feed, it takes a few hours for vehicles to appear or update on Google."]]
