Customer Match overview

The Data Manager API supports the following Customer Match features for Display & Video 360:

• Customer Match using contact information such as email address, phone number, and address information.

• Customer Match using mobile IDs.

Your Display & Video 360 partner must meet set requirements before successfully uploading user data to Display & Video 360 Customer Match audiences.

Important: European Economic Area (EEA) audience members are automatically removed from a Customer Match list owned by a Display & Video 360 partner because Display & Video 360 partner accounts don't have the necessary sharing settings. This restriction doesn't apply to Customer Match lists owned by a Display & Video 360 advertiser if the upload contains the necessary consent settings.

Here are the steps for creating and populating a Customer Match audience in a Display & Video 360 account:

1. If you want a new Customer Match audience, follow the steps to Create an audience and note the value for its id field.

   If you already have a Customer Match audience, use the List method to retrieve the value of its id.

2. Add user data to the audience.

3. Check upload results and list size.
