Model Gridded Population of World Version 4 (GPWv4), Revision 11 przedstawia rozkład ludności na świecie w latach 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015 i 2020 w komórkach siatki o rozmiarze 30 sekund łuku (około 1 km). Populacja jest rozdzielana na komórki za pomocą proporcjonalnego przydzielania populacji z jednostek spisowych i administracyjnych.
