Cet ensemble de données est un modèle numérique d'élévation (MNE) de la calotte glaciaire et des plates-formes de glace de l'Antarctique, basé sur les observations enregistrées par l'altimètre radar du satellite CryoSat-2 entre juillet 2010 et juillet 2016.
Le MNE est formé à partir d'ajustements spatio-temporels aux mesures d'altitude accumulées dans des cellules de grille de 1, 2 et 5 km, et est publié à la résolution modale de 1 km. La différence médiane et la différence quadratique moyenne entre le MNE et 2,3*107 ; les mesures d'altimètre laser aéroporté acquises lors des campagnes NASA Operation IceBridge sont respectivement de -0,30 et 13,50 m.
L'incertitude du MNE augmente dans les régions à forte pente, en particulier lorsque les mesures d'altitude ont été acquises en mode basse résolution.En tenant compte de cela, nous estimons que la précision moyenne est de 9,5 m.
