As melhorias mais significativas no processamento envolvem a redução de vazios com o uso de um melhor desencapsulamento de fase e de dados do GLAS do ICESat para controle.
As alturas inteiras nos arquivos DEM mesclados sem vazios são relativas ao geoide EGM96. Já as alturas de ponto flutuante nos arquivos DEM somente do SRTM são relativas ao elipsoide WGS84.
