Follow this guide to integrate the Navigation SDK for iOS into an iOS app.

This page explains the process for setting up the Navigation SDK for iOS and lists the minimum requirements to use the SDK.

Note: European Economic Area (EEA): The default user interface and functionality of the Navigation SDK are deemed fully compliant with the EEA Safety Requirements.

Navigation SDK for iOS setup process

To set up and start using the Navigation SDK for iOS, you first need to configure your Google Cloud project and obtain an API key that has the Navigation SDK for iOS and the Maps SDK for iOS enabled. Then, you can set up your Xcode project by adding both the SDK and your API key.

Minimum requirements for using Navigation SDK for iOS

• A Google Cloud console project with the Navigation SDK for iOS and the Maps SDK for iOS enabled.

• Version 16.0 or later of Xcode.

• The target iOS version for the Navigation SDK for iOS must be 16.0.

Note: The Navigation SDK extends the Maps SDK. If your app uses the Maps SDK for its map layer, you can add the Navigation SDK to your app to enable the navigation experience. You cannot use the Navigation SDK without also having the Maps SDK installed in your app.
