Ảnh trực giao là ảnh chụp từ trên không đã được xử lý, trong đó các biến dạng do địa hình, độ nghiêng của camera so với mặt đất tại thời điểm chụp và phép chiếu tâm của camera đều được loại bỏ. Ảnh trực giao kỹ thuật số có kích thước hoặc độ phân giải pixel nhất định, cho thấy diện tích nhỏ nhất không thể phân chia được trên mặt đất (Khoảng cách lấy mẫu trên mặt đất, GSD).
Ảnh trực giao có phạm vi phủ sóng trên toàn quốc và tương ứng với tỷ lệ 1:5000 – 1:10000 (kích thước pixel 20 – 40 cm). Ảnh trực giao cho các khu vực đông dân cư được tạo ra với kích thước pixel từ 10 đến 16 cm.
Tập dữ liệu đơn sắc có một dải màu xám với phạm vi phủ sóng trên toàn quốc.
Bạn có thể sử dụng dữ liệu này miễn phí cho mục đích thương mại và phi thương mại trong một khoảng thời gian không xác định, miễn là bạn ghi nhận nguồn cấp phép (ví dụ: Estonian Land Board) một cách thích hợp cùng với tiêu đề và độ tuổi của dữ liệu.
