Setiap piksel diklasifikasikan secara individual menjadi air / non-air menggunakan sistem pakar dan hasilnya dikumpulkan ke dalam histori bulanan untuk seluruh periode waktu dan dua era (1984-1999, 2000-2019) untuk deteksi perubahan.
Produk pemetaan ini terdiri dari 1 gambar yang berisi 7 band.
Peta ini memetakan berbagai aspek distribusi spasial dan temporal air permukaan selama 35 tahun terakhir. Area yang tidak pernah mendeteksi air akan disamarkan.
