Esta colección de imágenes proporciona acceso al monitoreo satelital de alta resolución de los trópicos con el objetivo principal de reducir y revertir la pérdida de selvas tropicales, contribuir a la lucha contra el cambio climático, conservar la biodiversidad, contribuir al crecimiento, la restauración y la mejora de los bosques, y facilitar el desarrollo sostenible, todo lo cual debe ser de Uso No Comercial.

Los mosaicos del Programa de datos satelitales de NICFI (también denominados mosaicos de Planet-NICFI) contienen recopilaciones mensuales y bianuales que se generan cada 6 meses. El tipo de mosaico se almacena en el campo de metadatos de la imagen "cadence". Usa ese campo junto con la fecha de inicio y finalización de cada mosaico para encontrar las imágenes deseadas.
