Data ini dihasilkan menggunakan 4.716.475 adegan dari Landsat 5, 7, dan 8 yang diperoleh antara 16 Maret 1984 dan 31 Desember 2021.
Setiap piksel diklasifikasikan secara terpisah menjadi air / non-air menggunakan sistem pakar dan hasilnya dikumpulkan ke dalam histori bulanan untuk seluruh jangka waktu dan dua era (1984-1999, 2000-2021) untuk deteksi perubahan.
