مرکز ملی پیش بینی محیطی (NCEP) سیستم پیش بینی آب و هوا (CFS) یک مدل کاملاً جفت شده است که نشان دهنده تعامل بین جو زمین، اقیانوس ها، خشکی و یخ دریا است. CFS در مرکز مدلسازی محیطی (EMC) در NCEP توسعه داده شد. CFS عملیاتی در 30 مارس 2011 به نسخه 2 (CFSv2) ارتقا یافت.
پیش بینی ها چهار بار در روز (0000، 0600، 1200 و 1800 UTC) مقداردهی اولیه می شوند. این همان مدلی است که برای ایجاد تحلیل مجدد سیستم پیشبینی آب و هوا NCEP (CFSR) استفاده شد و هدف مجموعه داده CFSv2 گسترش CFSR است. ما فقط زیر مجموعه ای از باندها را از فایل های مطابق با cdas1.t??z.sfluxgrbf 06 .grib2 دریافت می کنیم.
