al censimento del 2010.
Il modello Gridded Population of World Version 4 (GPWv4), Revisione 11, modella la distribuzione
della popolazione umana globale per gli anni 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015 e 2020
in celle della griglia di 30 secondi d'arco (circa 1 km). La popolazione viene distribuita
alle celle utilizzando l'allocazione proporzionale della popolazione delle unità amministrative e
censite. I dati di input sulla popolazione vengono raccolti con la risoluzione spaziale più dettagliata disponibile dai risultati del ciclo di censimenti del 2010, che si è svolto tra il 2005 e il 2014. I dati di input vengono
estrapolati per produrre stime della popolazione per ogni anno modellato.
