Web Animation ist ein neues Animationsmodell, das von mehreren Browseranbietern entwickelt wurde und jetzt in Blink versendet wird. Chrome lieferte Ende 2013 zusätzlich zu Animationen auch noch CSS-Animationen und CSS-Übergänge. Neue Webanimationsfunktionen sind jetzt in JavaScript verfügbar und bieten Webentwicklern leistungsstarke kreative Kontrolle über Animationen von JS, jedoch ohne Verzögerung. Die Webanimations-Engine ist eine der Hauptfunktionen des Polymer-Projekts.
