Das GLS2005-Dataset ist eine Sammlung von 9.500 orthorektifizierten Satellitenbildern mit mittlerer Auflösung, die zwischen 2004 und 2007 aufgenommen wurden und die Landmassen der Erde abdecken. Für GLS2005 werden hauptsächlich Landsat 5- und lückenhafte Landsat 7-Daten verwendet, wobei Datenlücken mit EO-1 ALI- und Terra ASTER-Daten gefüllt werden.
Diese Sammlung enthält nur die Teilmenge der GLS2005-Bilder vom L7 ETM+-Sensor.
