Boreale Wälder und Tundra enthalten den größten Teil des Binnenwassers, etwa 40% des globalen Gesamtvolumens. Die Daten weisen eine starke lineare Korrelation sowohl mit dem MODIS-Dataset als auch mit Datasets mit einer Auflösung von 30 Metern für die USA und Kanada auf. Restfehler waren hauptsächlich auf die Saisonalität von Wasseroberfläche, Schnee und Eis sowie auf verbleibende Wolken zurückzuführen.
Das Dataset enthält ein oder mehrere Bilder für jeden verfügbaren Landsat WRS2-Pfad/jede verfügbare Landsat WRS2-Zeile.
