All developers actively developing experiences for Google Cardboard should use the open source Cardboard SDKs for iOS, Android NDK, and Unity XR Plugin.
The Daydream View VR headset is no longer available for purchase as of October 15, 2019. As of November 2023, previously supported devices will no longer be able to download and install Google VR Serivces (Android application ID com.google.vr.vrcore) for new users.

Experimental Daydream 6DoF controllers

The experimental Daydream 6DoF controllers allow you to build 6DoF experiences for the Lenovo Mirage Solo with Daydream. These controllers enable natural and intuitive controls for interacting with virtual objects, such as allowing users to pick up and manipulate virtual objects.

To use these controllers with your Lenovo Mirage Solo, attach the tracking faceplate to your headset and connect its USB cable.

Features

The experimental 6DoF controller includes various controls:

Controller Feature	Description
Optical 6DoF controller tracking	See the Degrees of Freedom page.
Touchpad with Touchpad Click button	Can detect touching, swiping and clicking. Fully customizable for your app. Example uses include scrolling through a menu or moving through the environment.
Trigger	6DoF controller only Fully customizable for your app. Example uses include selecting virtual objects at a distance.
Grip button	6DoF controller only Fully customizable for your app. Example uses include grabbing a virtual object in reach.
Daydream button	Press to open the Daydream Dashboard. Press and hold to recenter your view. Cannot be customized.
App button	Can be used for custom functions in your app. Example uses include opening an in-app menu or performing a special action.
