הנה כמה דוגמאות לעיצוב מורכב של רכיבים.
כבישים צהובים עם קווי מתאר ירוקים
התאמה אישית של כל הכבישים כך שיהיה להם מילוי צהוב בהיר וקו מתאר ירוק כהה כסגנון הבסיסי. 
בקטע תכונות במפה, בוחרים באפשרות רשת כבישים.
בחלונית Road Network (רשת הכבישים), בקטע Polyline (קו פוליגוני), מסמנים את התיבה שמתחת לFill color (צבע מילוי).
בוחרים צבע צהוב בהיר, כמו קוד hex #eeeec8.
בוחרים את התיבה שמתחת לצבע קו המתאר ובוחרים צבע ירוק כהה, כמו קוד ה-hex #155304.
בקטע רוחב הקו של האותיות, מגדירים את הערך ל-3px.
כשמגדילים או מקטינים את התצוגה, כבישים שונים מופיעים ונעלמים בסגנון הזה. אם הדרכים קטנות מדי ואי אפשר לראות את קו המתאר שלהן, הן מוצגות רק בצבע הצהוב.
צבעים שונים של מים לפי רמת הזום
יכול להיות שסוגים מסוימים של סגנונות רכיבים יהיו גלויים רק ברמות זום מסוימות, כמו בניינים בתלת-ממד או נקודות עניין. מוסיפים סגנון כך שהמים יופיעו בכחול כהה כשמבצעים הרחקה מקסימלית (z0), בכחול בינוני כשמבצעים הגדלה לרמה של מדינה או פרובינציה (רמת זום 6 במחשב נייד), ובכחול בהיר עם גבול כחול כהה כשמבצעים הגדלה חזקה (z19).
בקטע תכונות המפה, בוחרים באפשרות מים.
בחלונית Water, בקטע Polyline, מסמנים את התיבה שמתחת לFill color ובוחרים צבע כחול כהה.
לוחצים על סמל היהלום של הזום משמאל לצבע המילוי כדי לפתוח את חלונית הסגנון של רמת הזום.
בוחרים את רמת הזום 6 וצבע כחול בינוני.
בוחרים ברמת זום 19 ומשנים את צבע המים לכחול בהיר.
הערה: אם מגדירים צבע קו, נחלים ונהרות קטנים רבים מציגים רק את צבע הגוף, גם כשמבצעים זום אין. ההבדל בין קו מתאר למילוי נראה בבירור בבריכות גדולות, באגמים ובגופי מים גדולים יותר.

Select zoom level 19, and change the water to light blue.\n\nNote, if you set a stroke color, creeks and streams and many smaller rivers\nonly show the body color, even zoomed all the way in.
