Media\nplanners can use the service to answer questions such as:\n\n- How much investment on YouTube would it take to meet a campaign's reach goals?\n- How much of a target audience could a campaign reach for a given budget?\n- What is the optimal budget allocation between YouTube and other media channels if I have a campaign optimizing for reach?\n\n[Reach Planner](//ads.google.com/intl/en_in/home/tools/reach-planner/)\nwithin the [Google Ads web interface](//ads.google.com) contains many of the same\nfeatures.\n\nIf you haven't already, complete [Get started](/google-ads/api/docs/get-started/introduction)\nto ensure that you're able to connect to the Google Ads API prior to trying to\nconnect to `ReachPlanService`.\n\nEligibility requirements\n------------------------\n\n`ReachPlanService` is a private component of the Google Ads API offered with a\nnon-exclusive, royalty-free data license. Signed partners can use the standard\n[Google Ads client libraries](/google-ads/api/docs/client-libs) to generate media plans. To\nbe eligible, partners must satisfy the following conditions:\n\n- Have a planning tool or user interface that will integrate the API.\n- Use the API to produce media plans and estimate campaign reach and cost.\n- Complete a pre-screen assessment as outlined below.\n- Follow data usage requirements and be willing to undergo periodic data audits.\n- Sign a data-licensing agreement that legally enforces data usage requirements.\n- Accept the Google Ads API [terms of service](/google-ads/api/terms).\n\nContact your Google representative for more information.\n\n### Pre-screen assessment\n\nPartners must complete a pre-screen assessment for each planning tool that would\nuse the API. Google then assesses the data security, methodologies, and outputs\nof planning tools with questions such as:\n\n- How are users authenticated?\n- How is the usage of your tool tracked?\n- When building plans, which metrics can users optimize? For example: reach, impact, impressions, frequency.\n- How does your tool deduplicate channels?\n- Does your tool apply a default *weight* or *effectiveness score* to each channel in a plan?"]]
