Note: The current step of this tutorial depends on the type of application you are building. We strongly recommend using a service account to make API calls. However, the user authentication option is also provided as an alternative. The rest of this tutorial will be customized based on your choice.

Create a service account and key

Note: If you are already using another Google API and have created an OAuth 2.0 service account and key, you can skip this step and reuse the existing credentials.

Start by creating a service account and credentials. Next, create credentials for the service account. Download the service account key in JSON format and note the service account ID and email.
