ee.Geometry.Point.type
Returns the GeoJSON type of the geometry.
Usage | Returns |
---|
Point.type() | String |
Argument | Type | Details |
---|
this: geometry | Geometry | |
Examples
// Define a Point object.
var point = ee.Geometry.Point(-122.082, 37.42);
// Apply the type method to the Point object.
var pointType = point.type();
// Print the result to the console.
print('point.type(...) =', pointType);
// Display relevant geometries on the map.
Map.setCenter(-122.085, 37.422, 15);
Map.addLayer(point,
{'color': 'black'},
'Geometry [black]: point');
Python setup

# Print the result.
display('point.type(...) =', point_type)
# Display relevant geometries on the map.
