Phương thức này được dùng cùng với GetVideoThumbnailPixels. Lệnh gọi đến videoThumbnails.create cung cấp một biểu thức và một số tuỳ chọn đầu ra. Kết quả của videoThumbnails.create là một mã nhận dạng đại diện cho hình ảnh là kết quả của việc đánh giá biểu thức đó và áp dụng các tuỳ chọn đó. Sau đó, bạn có thể thực hiện lệnh gọi đến GetVideoThumbnailPixels để lấy hình ảnh hiển thị tất cả các phần tử của ImageCollection, ảnh động từ đầu đến cuối. Giấy tờ tuỳ thân này sẽ có hiệu lực trong một khoảng thời gian vừa phải (vài giờ).
Yêu cầu này bị giới hạn ở tổng cộng 512*512*100 pixel trên tất cả Hình ảnh trong ImageCollection. Các yêu cầu vượt quá các giới hạn này sẽ dẫn đến mã lỗi 400 (BAD_REQUEST).
