本日は、コンテンツがインデックスに登録されるタイミングをより細かく制御できる新しい robots タグ indexifembedded をご紹介します。indexifembedded タグを使用すると、コンテンツ ページに noindex タグがあっても、iframes などの HTML タグによって他のページにコンテンツが埋め込まれるときにインデックスに登録するよう Google に伝えることができます。
indexifembedded タグは、特にメディア パブリッシャーに影響を与える一般的な問題を解決します。サードパーティのページにコンテンツが埋め込まれるときにインデックスに登録したい場合があるかもしれませんが、必ずしも自身のメディアページをインデックスに登録したいとは限りません。メディアページをインデックスに登録したくないため、現時点ではこうしたページで noindex タグを使用しているのです。しかし、noindex タグがあると、インデックス登録の際に他のページにコンテンツが埋め込まれなくなります。
新しい robots タグ indexifembedded は、noindex のあるページが iframe などの HTML タグ（object など）によって別のページに埋め込まれるときにのみ、noindex タグとの組み合わせで機能します。たとえば、podcast.host.example/playpage?podcast=12345 に noindex タグと indexifembedded タグの両方がある場合、Google はインデックス登録の際に、そのページでホストされているコンテンツを recipe.site.example/my-recipes.html に埋め込むことができます。
他のページに埋め込まれるときにのみコンテンツがインデックスに登録されるようにするには、noindex タグと組み合わせて indexifembedded を追加します。次に例を示します。
